An integrated Winix Smart App has been released, allowing users to control their Winix Smart Air Purifiers. The app requires permissions for certain services, including location and calling customer service. However, even without allowing optional permissions, users can still utilize the limited functionality of the app.

The Winix Smart App offers a range of features:

• Remote Control from Anywhere: Users can power on/off their air purifiers, adjust fan speeds, switch between modes, and set schedules for daily, weekly, or monthly operation.
• Real-time Indoor/Outdoor Air Quality Information: The app allows users to monitor the air quality in real time, even when they are not at home. It also provides a history of air quality data to help users better understand their environment.
• Manage Filters: Users can view the remaining filter life percentage and receive in-app alerts when it's time to replace the filter. Additionally, the app supports automatic filter replacements through Amazon DRS integration.
• Works with Amazon Alexa: With Alexa integration, users can control their Winix Air Purifier using voice commands through an Alexa device. Enabling the Winix Smart Custom Skill for Alexa allows users to access all commands for their Winix Smart Air Purifier.

The app also provides additional features such as real-time outdoor air quality information based on the user's current location or by searching for a specific city. It displays the current air quality conditions of the room where the Winix air purifier is located. Users can also set schedules to run the air purifier only during specific times. Lastly, there is an option to stay informed about current Winix sales and promotions.
